في جديده يقدم المؤرخ والأديب اللبناني "عباس جعفر الحسيني" رواية نسجها من عبق الأرض، أرض الجنوب اللبناني، سماها "آخر أيام السكوكع". وفي الرواية ينشغل الروائي بالواقع اليومي البسيط لنساء الضيعة، في سرد مشوق مشبع بالتداعيات والأفكار المعلنة أحياناً ببساطة وحرية، هي حكاية المرأة أياً كان إسمها في رحلتها في الحياة يأخذنا القص إلى "أعدات النسوة" و "مصطبات الرجال" في الحي في تلك الأيام الخوالي حيث التمسك بالعادات والتقاليد، وإغاثة الملهوف، وإكرام الضيف، ومشاركة النسوة الرجال شظف العيش.
هذا التشكيل الروائي يمارسه عباس جعفر الحسيني في كفاءة واضحة وغزارة شهرزادية، فتتناسل الحكايات وتنتقل في سهولة ويسر من حكاية إلى أخرى. وتقفز بين الأزمنة السردية المختلفة منذ زمن الثلاثينيات وحتى نهايات الثمانينيات. ولعل ما يجري على لسان النسوة يلخص تلك المسارات والمصائر "... استقبلت كرم وسعاد وأمينة ورؤوفة وكاملة أبناءهن وأحفادهن الهاربين من بيروت المحاصرة، تجاوز عدد المقيمين في الحي الخمسمائة، توزعوا نحو الثلاثين في كل دار، إفترشوا حتى السطوح .. هي أحلى لحظات الفرح بالنسبة لهن، فهن يتباهين بممارسة أمومتهن بأحلى صورها، يعملن على تأمين متطلبات أسرهن، وعلى حلّ الخلافات التي تنشأ بينهم، وعندما يجتمعن يسردن لبعضهن أخباراً عنهم ..."
وهكذا ما بين قرى ومدن، وأحياء الجنوب اللبناني، والتفاصيل الصغيرة للأمكنة والأزمنة والأشياء، وفروسية الرجال، وملاحة النساء، يقدم الروائي صورة بانورامية عن ذلك الزمن الجميل وهو يواصل التوغل في العمق الروحي والنفسي لشخصيات العمل "سعاد ، رؤوفة ، الحاجة شريفة ، فاطمة ، رقية ، آمنة ..."وغيرهن من نساء لتروي كل واحدة منهن حكايتها، من هنا نعرف لماذا اختار الروائي عنوان (من حكايا نساء حي الضيعة".
رواية ممتعة، أبطالها حقيقيون، غنية بأحداثها وبتنوع شخصياتها، وبعواطفها وانفعالاتها .. تستحق القراءة.
