تتوزع أقاصيص مجموعة الرحيل على أسلوبين: أولهما جاد رصين ذو طابع مؤلم أو مأساوي أحياناً وثانيهما ساخر مرح يتميز به ويصر عليه في كل أقاصيصه التي يهدف من ورائها إلى نقد المجتمع في مؤسساته المتخلفة أو في تعرية الحياة في مواقف بهتانها وزورها ويستعين في تقديم الصور الهزلية بأسماء وألقاب ساخرة مبتكرة وعبارات لاذعة فنقرأ: (الدكتور ساهر الشاخر ، الآنسة غصن البان نحيفان ، الآنسة سلفة مديونيرة ، الدكتور غلبان التعبان....) لكن الدكتور غالب يبقى في الأسلوبين محافظاً على سلامة اللغة وإن كان في أسلوبه الساخر يزحل مدلول اللفظة عن معناه إلى معنىً جديدٍ يقتضيه خلق جو من الدعابة وتحقيق السخرية من الأشخاص المغرورين والمتكبرين والمدّعين خصوم أبطال المؤلف في كل أقاصيصه. لا عجب إذن في أن تأتي الأقاصيص ذات نكهة طبية واجتماعية متميزة.. تبرز الخطأ وتكره الظلم وتدافع عن الحق في كل مجال وتؤكد على إنسانية الإنسان وكرامته في عصر تسحق فيه الإنسانية والكرامة.
