الكتاب الأول من السيرة الذاتية هذا ما تذكرته من حياتي...كتبته بصدق، وحب ودموع...وأنا الآن صرت أرى الحياة، بمنظور آخر، وودعت كل شيء رأيته وأراه...ودعت لون النهار، ولون الليل، والذكريات، والأشياء... وقد حرصت في هذه السيرة، أن لا أسمي بعض الأشخاص بأسمائهم، احتراما لهم، فجلهم، لا يزال على قيد الحياة، ولقد كانت لي ذنوبي كباقي الناس، لكني أظن أن حسناتي أكثر، ويشفع لي أني عشت طيلة حياتي أحب الآخر وأعامله بحب...فأنا لا عدو لي سوى ما ابتليت به، لكن قدر ربي أكبر من كل شيء، فسبحانه وتجلت حكمته العظيمة يغفر لي ما تقدم وما تأخر، وأحمده على أن أمهلني حتى أنهيت كتابي... ولا أجد خاتمة أحسن من بيت كتبته أو ربما سمعته عندما كنا في جولة فنية : الـمـُوتْ جـايّـا كِسحْـابـة بَـْيـضَـا تـَبـقاوْ بَسْلامة يا هَل المعروفْ.
