وديعة الصكوك الأوراق المالية عقد يتكون بين المصارف من جهة وعملائها من جهة ثانية، وهو من حيث تكوينه وآثاره خاضع إلى ثلاثة أنواع من الأحكام القانونية: عقد الوديعة المنصوص عليه في قانون الموجبات والعقود، وعقد الوكالة بوجهية المدني والتجاري، والأحكام الخاصة المنصوص عليها قانون التجارة. وإيجار الخزائن الحديدية عقد يخضع من جهة، إلى أحكام عقد الإيجار على خلاف في النظريات بهذا الشأن، ومن جهة إلى أحكام خاصة منصوص عليها في قانون التجارة.
وهذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا هو الثالث في سلسلة "أبحاث قانونية مقارنة" وضعه الدكتور "الياس ناصيف" في موقعه كخبير متخصص في الشؤون القانونية، وفيه يتطرق إلى بحث خدمتين مكملتين تتصل بالنشاط المصرفي وتتولى المصارف تنفيذها للعملاء وهما وديعة الصكوك والأوراق المالية وتأجير الخزائن الحديدية.
وتبعاً لاقتصار البحث على العقدين المذكورين، قسم المؤلف كتابه إلى بابين وكل باب منهما إلى فصول على النحو الآتي: الباب الأول: وديعة الصكوك والأوراق المالية. في هذا الباب فصلين الأول أفرد للحديث عن تكوين عقد إيداع الصكوك والأوراق المالية في المصارف أما الثاني فخصص لمعالجة الآثار التي تترتب على عقد إيداع الصكوك والأوراق المالية في المصارف. الباب الثاني: جاء تحت عنوان عقد إيجار الصناديق أو الخزائن الحديدية، وهو يحتوي على أربعة فصول عالجت المواضيع التالية: الفصل الأول: تكوين عقد إيجار الخزائن الحديدية، الفصل الثاني: آثار عقد إيجار الخزائن الحديدية، الفصل الثالث: مسؤولية المصرف المؤجر، الفصل الرابع: الحجز على محتويات الصندوق الحديدي.
