يأتي هذا الإصدار من ضمن سلسلة يعمل إتحاد الكتاب اللبنانيين على إصدارها تسعى إلى تكريم المبدعين من كتَاب الإتحاد والوطن، وتقوم بتقديم دراسات وشهادات عن أعمالهم لتكون مرجعاً للمهتمين والعاملين في حقل الأدب. و"تحية إلى جوزف حرب" هو الكتاب الأول من هذه السلسلة وجاء في قسمين القسم الأول (الدراسات) ويتضمن دراسات نقدية لـ (6) أعمال من أعمال جوزف حرب هي: 1- فاعلية الصورة في شعر جوزف حرب للدكتور وجيه فانوس/ الأمين العام لاتحاد الكتَاب اللبنانيين، 2- جنة جوزف حرب الشعرية للدكتور نبيل أيوب، 3- أمام ملكوت المرأة وتاجها النوراني الأقدس للدكتور ياسين الأيوبي، 4- الإيقاع والمختف في كتاب "مملكة الخبز والورد" لجوزف حرب للدكتورة ديزيره سقال، 5- السلم وشعرية الصليب في شعر جوزف حرب للدكتور على زيتون، 6- تجليات الصراع في المستوى السياسي في شعر جوزف حرب للدكتورة بولين عويجان. أما القسم الثاني فجاء بعنوان (الشهادات) وهي أربعة 1- شعره يجري في الروح للأستاذ باسم عباس، 2- ما أخلف الشعر وعداً للأستاذة هدى ميقاتي، 3- باقة +بنفسج إلى جوزف حرب للأستاذ أنور سلمان و4- الشاعر والصديق والوفي للدكتور سامي أبي طايع.
عن جوزف حرب الشاعر والإنسان يقول وجيه فانوس في مقدمة الكتاب: ".. جوزف حرب هو الشاعر الإنساني بامتياز والفنان الجمالي بإبداع وصاحب الرؤية الحضارية بوعي وصدق، ناهضاً بكل هذا بشعرٍ تجاوزت فيه العربية الفصحى مع العربية المحكية، في صفاءِ ووفاءِ لا يخالفا فيهما الأصالة ولا يجابنا بهما صدق الواقع وروعته..."
بهذا الخطاب يرثي أصدقاء حوزف حرب رفيق دربهم فكان الكتاب تكريماً للشاعر الغائب الحاضر في قلوب الجميع، وتحية من القلب إلى شاعر لبنان.
