وقد ختم الكتاب بتقويم منهج عاكش في التدوين التاريخي، متناولا عدة قضايا من أبرزها نقده التاريخي للروايات والرجال والكتب، ومدى حيادتيه و موضوعيته، وتأثيره فيمن بعده.
