هذا هو الجزء الرّابع من سلسلة "الفرح" نُهديه لأولادنا في السّنة الرابعة الأساسيّة ليغرفوا من مَعنيه العلم والثّقافة والمعرفة، وليستخرجوا من بحاره دُرر الأدب والأخلاق والتّربية، وليكتسبوا من مضمونه القيم الإنسانيّة الإجتماعيّة، وليسافروا مع نصوصه إلى عالم الحلم والخيال من دون أن ينسوا دنيا الواقع.
قسّمنا كتابنا هذا أربعة أقسامٍ يُكمل بعضها بعضاً، وهي كتاب القراءة ودفتر التّمارين وكتاب القواعد والإملاء ودفتر الخطّ.
تماشياً مع هدفنا في التّقريب بين ما يتعلّمه التّلميذ في المدرسة وما يعيشه من تجارب وخبرات في حياته اليوميّة، قسّمنا كتابنا إلى محاور يتناول كلٌّ منها موضوعاً حياتيّاً معيّناً يُعالجه من زوايا مختلفة، فَمَوْضوعاتُ الكتاب في مجملها مستمدّة من بيئة الطّفل وواقعه، وهي تُحاكي رغباته، وتلامس خياله، فتنتقل به من محيطه الصّغير الضّيّق إلى عالمٍ أوسع من السّحر والخيال والأحلام، وهي بذلك تساعده على الإفصاح عمّا يختلج في نفسه من أفكار وطموحات وتطلّعات والتّعبير عنها ومشاركة الآخرين بها وصولاً إلى إثبات ذاته.
