تتّبع مجموعة "روضة الفرح" للصّفّ التّمهيديّ من "سلسلة الفرح" الطّريقة التّحليليّة التّركيبيّة التي تنطلق من القصّة لإستخراج صوتٍ من الأصوات المكوّنة للنّصّ، فيتمّ تحليله والعمل عليه، بعد ذلك يتعرّف التّلميذ إلى الحرف الذي يُجسّد هذا الصّوت فيُميّزه قراءةً وكتابةً مع الصّوائت القصيرة والطويلة، في مرحلةٍ لاحقة ننتقل إلى العمليّة التّركيبيّة فنجد الحرف وقد دخل في تركيب كلماتٍ جديدةٍ.
تماشياً مع هدفنا في التّقريب بين ما يتعلّمه التّلاميذ في المدرسة، وما يعيشونه من خبرات في حياتهم اليوميّة، قسّمنا مجموعتنا إلى محاور يتناول كلٌّ منها موضوعاً حياتيّاً معيّناً يُعالجه من زوايا مختلفة، وقد أتى ترتيب المحاور كالآتي: عالم المدرسة (أرنوب في مدرسة الفرح)، الإنسان ينمو ويكبر (أنا أكبر)، حيوانات المزرعة (صوصي ونونو يلعبان الغمّيضة)، الزّراعة (فرفر وملفوف العمّ يوسف)، الغذاء (عيد في الغابة)، عالم البحر (مغامرات السّمكة سوسو).
إنّ المواضيع المطروحة، في مجملها، مستمدّة من بيئة الطّفل وواقعه، وهي تحاكي رغباته، وتلامس خياله، فتنتقل به من عالمه الصّغير الضّيّق إلى عالمٍ أوسع من السّحر والخيال والأحلام، وهي بذلك تساعده في التّعبير عمّا في نفسه وإثبات ذاته، كما أنّها تهدف إلى تنمية العقل والعاطفة والخيال، فضلاً عن تعزيز الذّوق الفنّيّ والحسّ الإبداعيّ عنده، وهي إلى ذلك ذات أبعاد أخلاقيّة تربويّة تنمّي شخصيّته، وتساعده في تحمّل المسؤوليّة وإتخاذ القرارات في المستقبل.
وترافق مجموعة "روضة الفرح" للصّفّ التّمهيديّ ستّ قصص تتناول هذه المواضيع فضلاً عن كتاب قراءة يحوي جملاً ومفرداتٍ ونصوصاً قصيرةً مناسبةً لعمر التّلميذ ومستواه اللّغويّ والفكريّ، ومجموعة من العدّيّات التي تصبّ في موضوع المحور، وتحوي الحروف التي يتمّ العمل عليها (لكلّ حرفٍ عدّيّة خاصة به.
