إن حياة الأسرة حياة عمل، وللحياة أعباؤها وتكاليفها، لذا فهي تحتاج إلى قائد يوجهها ويشرف على سلامتها، هذه القيادة يسميها القرآن الكريم قوامة، وهي من نصيب الرجل، والرئاسة ليست للإستبعاد والتسخير كما يتوهم بعض الجهلة، وإنما هي رئاسة إشراف ورعاية، لا تعني إلغاء شخصية الزوجة وإهدار إرادتها أو طمس معالم المودة والألفة في الأسرة.
كما أن القوامة تعني أن الزوج مسؤول عن كل ما يوفر سلامة الأبدان والأديان، يجنّب الأسرة مصارع السوء، يجنب الأسرة طرق الإنحراف، يعطي من نفسه القدوة المثلى في الوقوف عند حدود الله تعالى وتعظيم شعائر دينه، مع سعة صدر وحسن خلق، فهو كالراعي الذي يحمي الحمى.
كما أنه مطالب بأن يوازن بين مهام العمل والعبادة والتفرغ لمهام الأسرة ليعطي، كل ذي حق حقه؛ حق الزوجة، حق الأولاد، رعاية الأسرة، التربية.
من هنا، يأتي هذا الجهد المتواضع بتسليط الضوء على الزواج، ببيان أهميته والترغيب فيه وبيان الحكم الشرعي فيه، والحديث عن عقد الزواج وما يتعلق به من أحكام وشروط، وبيان الفرق بينه وبين خطبة الزواج، وأهلية النكاح، والولاية، والشهادة والكفاءة والوكالة وغير الحديث، والحديث عن بعض أنواع الزواج المستحدث كزواج المسيار وغيره.
ويأتي الحديث عن هذه الموضوعات مع إبراز قانون الأحوال الشخصية الأردني لكونه القانون المعمول به في المحاكم الشرعية في الأردن وفلسطين.
