محمد كمال الدين إمام (1946 - 2020) فقيه وأكاديمي وإعلامي مصري، شغل منصب رئيس قسم الشريعة الإسلامية بكلية الحقوق جامعة الإسكندرية.
سيرته
ولد في إسنا في 2 أبريل 1946، حصل على ليسانس الحقوق في يناير 1969 من جامعة الإسكندرية، ثم حصل على دبلوم الدراسات العليا في الشريعة الإسلامية 1973 بتقدير جيد من جامعة الإسكندرية، ودبلوم الدراسات العليا في القانون العام 1976 بتقدير مقبول من جامعة عين شمس، ثم نال درجة الدكتوراة في الحقوق 1982 بتقدير جيد جدا مع مرتبة الشرف من جامعة الإسكندرية.

نظم الفقه الإسلامي أحكام الأسرة أو ما اصطلح على تسميته في هذه الآونة بمسائل الأحوال الشخصية من زواج وطلاق وحقوق أولاد وميراث ووصية ووقف بصورة غاية في الدقة وقد سبق غيره من القوانين بمراحل بعيدة، وقد نالت هذه الأحكام إعجاب المشرعين حتى في البلاد غير الإسلامية، واقتبسوا منها أحكاماً كثيرة، ولقد اهتم الفقه الإسلامي بأحكام الأسرة اهتماماً كبيراً لأنها تتعلق بالأسرة التي هي الخلية الأولى للمجتمع.
فأحكام الأسرة في الفقه الإسلامي من زواج وفرقة بين الزوجين وحقوق أولاد وميراث ووصية ووقف إلى غير ذلك هي عينها الأحكام التي تنظمها قوانين الأحوال الشخصية لأن المصدر المباشر والوحيد لمسائل الأحوال الشخصية للمسلمين وفي بعض الأحيان لغير المسلمين في مصر هو الفقه الإسلامي وليست القوانين الغربية كما هو الحال في بقية القوانين الأخرى كالقانون المدني والتجاري والجنائي وغيرها من القوانين التي مصدرها القوانين الغربية وخاصة القانون الفرنسي.
وبين طيات هذا الكتاب خلاصة محاضرات في مسائل الأحوال الشخصية والخاصة بالزواج والفرقة بين الزوجين وحقوق الأولاد في الفقه الإسلامي، والقانون والقضاء، وضعت لطلاب وطالبات الفرقة الثانية بكلية الحقوق، وقد حرص فيها بقدر الإمكان أن تكون سهلة العبارة ميسورة الفهم، حتى يتحقق بها النفع.
