يحتوي هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا على رسالتين الأولى جاءت تحت عنوان "تنبيه المغتربين أواخر القرن العاشر على ما خالفوا فيه سلفهم الطاهر" وهي من إعداد "عبد الوهاب بن علي الأنصاري" المعروف بالشعراني، وتتميز هذه الرسالة بما تطرق إليه مؤلفها من مواضيع من الوعظ والإرشاد، فهو يتحدث عن فضيلة الصبر والإخلاص وتجنب الرياء والاعتبار والبكاء والحزن والنظر إلى الدنيا على أنها دار العمل لنيل الدرجات في الآخرة لا على أنها دار قرار ولهو وانشراح، وتحدث أيضاً عن العفو، والصفح عن المظالم، وحسن الأدب مع الصغير والكبير والخوف من الله تعالى، والمواظبة على قيام الليل والتسليم لأمر الله في كل صغيرة وكبيرة.. إلى ما هنالك من فضائل الأخلاق ومحامدها.
أما الرسالة الثانية التي في الكتاب فجاءت بعنوان الكشف والتبيين من غرور الخلف أجمعين، وهي من إعداد " محمد بن محمد الغزالي" وفيها تحدث عن أقسام الخلق، غرور الخلق، أرباب الأموال، المغرويين من المتصوفة الخ.
لعل من أهم الأسباب التي جعلت كتب الآداب والوعظ تكثر وتنتشر انصراف الناس عن دينهم وانغماسهم في لذات الحياة الدنيا، وابتعادهم عن الآخرة.
والإمام الشعراني واحد من أولئك الرجال الذين برعوا في عدة فنون كالفقه والحديث والتفسير والوعظ، والكتاب الذي بين أيدينا كتاب فريد بين أقرانه تحدث فيه مؤلفه عن الوعظ والإرشاد إذ فيه مواضيع كثيرة يحتاجها الناس في كل زمان ومكان. فما أجدرنا أن نعي هذا الكتاب وأن نتحلى بأخلاقه المثلى، عسى أن نفوز برضوان الله في الدنيا والآخرة.
