تتلخص النظرية الاجتماعية التي عرضها القرآن الكريم وبنى عليها نظامه الاجتماعي للإنسان، بنظرية الاستخلاف التي لخصها "الشهيد السيد محمد باقر الصدر"، بما عنونه بـ: "خلافة الإنسان وشهادة الأنبياء"، أي نظرية الخلافة أو استخلاف الله للإنسان، وهي نظرية اجتماعية تتقاطع مع النظريات الأخرى التي تعطي للإنسان الأصالة والاستقلال عن خالقه وباعثه ومربيه ومدبراً أموره ورازقه والمنعم عليه بكل شيء.
والغور إلى أعماق هذه النظرية وأبعادها وآثارها وأدلتها يتطلب من الغور في البحث عن: حقيقة المجتمع وظاهرة الاجتماع الإنساني، وعناصر المجتمع، ودراسة العلاقات في ما بين هذه العناصر، وما يترتب على ذلك من أوضاع وأحوال تتطلب مجموعة من القوانين والضوابط التي تقوم بترشيد هذه العلاقات، وتوجيهها لبلوغ الأهداف المنشودة من خلق المجتمع الإنساني بشكل خاص، وخلق الإنسان بشكل عام.
ومن كل هذه القوانين والضوابط العامة التي تغطي كل مرافق الحياة الإنسانية، يتألف النظام الاجتماعي الإسلامي الإنساني مرتكزاً على نظرية الخلافة، ومحققاً أهدافها، ومتطلعاً إلى مستقبل الإنسانية الرحب، ومستثمراً كل طاقات المجتمع الإنساني وقابلياته الفريدة التي تتفدر باستمرار من خلال تكريم الإنسان وتهذيبه وتربيته المتكاملة. فهو: نظام أخلاقي تربوي تكاملي إنساني قبل كل شيء، ينتهج تكريم الإنسان وانتشاله بهذا التكريم الفريد عن كل ما يمكن أن يدنس كرامته وعزته، ويحول بينه وبي تكامله المنشود.
هذه صورة مقتضبة لما أراد منذر الحكيم الوصول إليه بالبحث القرآني من خلال ما كتبه وألفه السيد محمد باقر الصدر والذي يتناغم في منهجه العام مع منهج "العلامة الطباطبائي" في تفسيره الرائع "الميزان"، مع ملاحظة التطوير والشرح الذي يتناسب مع مهمة هذا البحث والمرحلة التي نحن فيها.
وقد حاول الاقتصار على نصوص الشهيد الصدر بالدرجة الأولى، ووثق النصوص المأخوذة من كتبه، وأما ما استوحاه من كلامه -أو أضافه لإكمال البحث، فلم ينسبه إليه، وهو في الحقيقة يمكن أن يكون مستوحى من مجموع رؤاه، ومنهجه أو إثارته التي عاش معها المؤلف من خلال المطالعة والتأمل والتدريس خلال ثلاثة عقود أو أكثر قبل التتلمذ عليه وبعده.
