عندما أضاء نور الإسلام الأرض بالمعارف النيّرة والحكم البليغة الإلهية، شاع ذلك النور في جميع أنحاء المظلم. وارتوى المسلمون والعلماء وطالبوا الحقيقة والكمال الإنساني في هذه العين الصافية العلوم والمعارف المختلفة. وازداد الكثير حيرة من خلال التفكير في الجوانب المختلفة للتوحيد. ومعرفة الخالق، وطرق الوصول إلى الحقيقة وغاية الوجود ونهايته، لذلك استعانوا بكلام الله المجيد والأحاديث والأقوال وسيرة الرسول الأكرم صلى الله عليه وسلم والسابقين. وطوروا منهج الوصول إلى معرفة الخالق والمنهج المعرفي للسير والسلوك.
وظهرت هذه المناهج من خلال مدارس عظيمة ووسيعة تعلم أسلوب الحركة والسير نحو الخالق من ناحية، وتكامل الإنسانية من ناحية أخرى. فأوجد هذا الفكر المنير وهذا السير والسلوك مناهج فكرية وعلمية سمت بالعرفان، وأوجدت طرق سير وسلوك سميت بالتصوف. فكان أحدهما طريقاً ومنهجاً، والآخر فكراً من خلال إدراك للنفس، ومعرفة للخالق، والوصول إلى الحقيقة. أحدهما طريق ومنهج للمريد والمراد، وللتعليم والتعلم، وللمال والأحوال. والآخر حول حصول الإدراك والإشراق والوصول إلى معنى الكمال.
وبشكل عام، نجد للعرفان الإسلامي جوانب إيجابية وأصولية، فالعارف يفكر ويتحرك نحو الكمال ويقود الآخرين نحوه. ففي العرفان الإسلامي يظهر العلم، والدين، والتقوى، والإشراق، والعشق، وحب الإله، والكمال المطلق معاً. وينتج عنه السعي والاجتهاد والسكر والهيجان والذوبان في الله؟ لقد استفاد المتصوفة والعرفاء الإيرانيون وكبار علماء الإسلام من العلوم والمعارف الإسلامية، والقرآن الكريم، والأحاديث النبوية، ودونوا لنا كتباً للعرفان والتصوف، وتركوا لنا في آثارهم مباحث، أقوالاً وعبارات جميلة ولطيف، ويعد الكثير منها خاصة التي جاءت بصورة نثرية أو شعرية مدوّنة باللغة الفارسية من الأعمال العظيمة البارزة على الصعيد العلمي والأدبي والعرفاني في إيران والعالم. ضمن هذا الإطار يأتي البحث في مقدمات في أصول التصوف والوفاء والعرفان وهو رواية مختصرة عن أهم الأفكار، وآثار متصوفة وعرفاء إيران والعالم الإسلامي، وهو يهتم بالجوانب الإيجابية للتصوف والعرفان. والكتاب يمثل نفعاً للمحققين وأهل الذوق والأدب والعرفان.
