اتفق العلماء على أن صحيح الإمام البخاري إلى جانب صحيح مسلم من أصح الكتب المصنفة في الصحيح المجرد في أحاديث الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، لذا فقد جاء صحيح مسلم ضمن مجلد واحد يسهل على الباحثين استخراج أطراف الحديث كلها منه-طرداً وعكساً-بسهولة. كما أنه تم تخريج الآيات القرآنية والقراءات والروايات في كتاب التفسير. كما تم ترقيم الكتب والأبواب والأحاديث حسب المعجم المفهرس لألفاظ الحديث النبوي، بالإضافة إلى تخريج الأحاديث المتفق عليها مع البخاري.
