تحت عنوان "تعلمت ..." نقرأ:
تعلّمت .. أن الحياة صعبة ولكن قوة الله فيّ هي أعلى وأكبر".
تعلّمت .. أنه يجب عدم إضاعة الفرص: واحد سوف يأخذ ما أضعته".
تعلّمت .. أن الجميع يريد أن يكون في القمة لكن السعادة والنمو الشخصي موجودان في التسلّق".
تعلّمت .. أنه كلما كان لديّ وقت أقل للعمل، بمقدار ذلك يمكنني أن أتمّم أشياء كثيرة.
قدم للكتاب بمقدمة جاءت تحت عنوان "نعمةِ الحبِّ"، الشاعر جوزف أبي ضاهر، ومما جاء فيها: "... بـ "نعمة الحب" كان بدءٌ، وكان عيشٌ .. واكتمال. مذ فتح "الكتاب المقدس" باليدين الصغيرتين أدرك كيف تُصقَلُ الأيام وتتجوهر، ولو غيرّ بعدها، درباً وموقفاً، وسعى إلى حياةٍ ما غابت عنها رائحة البخور ورجع ترانيم الأخوة في عليّة الكهنوت(...) كتاب الصديق داود سليمان فعلُ إرادةٍ .. وليكن مشيئةً بـ "نعمةِ الحبِّ" الكبير، واستجابة لما امتلك، وجمع، وخبر، فدل وأشار وعَلِمَ وعلّمَ وما رفع جفناً عن التواضع الأغنى من كل كنوز الأرض".
يتألف الكتاب من العناوين الرئيسية الآتية: 1- حبة الخردل، 2- وكانت حياة!، 3- حدّ الكلمة، 4- جناح الدفء، 5- قوة الرقة.
