في هذا الكتاب سأحاول سرد قصة الحياة الفنية لأبي صالح الكويتي وعمي داود الكويتي، معتمداً بالدرجة الرئيسية على ما قيل وكتب عنهما في المصادر العربية المعاصرة.
وإني بهذه المناسبة أتقدم بتسجيل شكري وإمتناني إلى الموسيقار خالد محمد علي لما بذله من جهد في تدوين نوتات الاغاني وإلى الفنان طاهر بركات لإعداده نصوص الأغاني وأخص بشكري الجزيل صديقي الحميم الأستاذ منشي سوميخ، الذي ساعدي وساندني في جميع المعلومات لهذا الكتاب وصياغته بلغته البديعة، كما أشكر الأستاذ مازن لطيف علي، على جهوده القيمة.
