في كتابنا هذا، يَلمَسُ القارئ إجاباتٍ عن تساؤلاتٍ وردودٍ أثارها كتابُ "الشَّخصيَّة المُحمَّديَّة أو حل اللغز المقدس" لمعروف عبد الغني الرُّصافي، لطالما توقف عندما المُسلمُ قَبْلَ غَيرهِ، إستناداً لما أثارهُ من مَوضُوعاتٍ حساسة تَتَعلَّقُ بطبيعة الدّينِ وشخصيَّةِ الرسول الأعظم (ص).
والباحث المصتدي لمثل تلك الموضوعات، عليه أن يعتمد منهجاً تحليلياً معرفياً لا يبتعد عن المنهج المعرفي القرآني، ولا سيَّما أن معظم مفردات السّيرة النَّبويَّة المُراد تدوينها، تبدأ وتنتهي بآي القرآن الكريم في التعامل مع وقائع تلك السِّيرة، وبشرط أنْ لا يتجاوز المنطق والموضوعية في التعامل، وهو أمرٌ لا بأس به، إن تَوفَّر لدى الباحث مثل تلك الملكات الكتابية، إذْ منَ المحتمَلِ أن يُطل علينا بنافذةٍ جديدة، افتقرت إليها الملاكات العلمية في عالمنا الإسلامي، وهو ما نعتقد أنه أدى إلى حد بعيد وأسهم في تحجر الفكر العربي الإسلامي وتوقفه عن الضخ الحضاري، لأنه راح يأكل نفسه بنفسه.
ومن هذا المنطلق، جاءت دراستنا النقدية لمضمون كتاب الشَّخصيَّة المحمدية والتي نعتقد بأنها تُعد المحاولة الأولى التي يجري فيها الرَّدُّ على هذا الكتاب بهذا الشكل الموسع، مستعينين بمصادر ومراجع علمية وتأريخية وأدبية لها الصّلِة المباشرة بالموضوع.
لقد كان لنا مع كتاب الشَّخصيَّة المحمدية رحلة ممتعة، تجلت بغزارة ما وجدناه من تناول موضوعات أجهد الرُّصافي نفسه في بيانها والتشكيك بصحتها، وهو ما جعلنا في واقع الأمر، نجهد أنفسنا أيضاً في البحث والتحري عمَّا يجب أنْ نَطرحه إزاء طرحه هذا.
