لقد تناول الدارسون موضوع وحدانية الله تعالى فكتبَ فيه الدينيُّ من وجهة نظر المُسلَّمات الدينية فصار واعظاً فيه، وكتبَ فيه المؤرخ فصار واضِعاً لبداية البحث البشري عن الربّ، وكتبَ فيه العالم المخبري التجريبي فصار باحثاً عن خالق صانع، وكتب الفيلسوف فصار باحثاً عن إدراك (لا محسوس) بمحسوس. كل هؤلاء لم يُجيبوا عن سؤال واحدٍ ظلَّ الأهم وهو: لماذا نبحثُ عن وجود الله؟
إن هذا السؤال لن يجيب عنه، بمقدار يصغر أو يكبر، إلاّ علم النفس. إن الارتباط بين وجود الله تعالى والنفس البشرية ارتباط وثيق يعود على الأخيرة بالطمأنينة إذا آمنت وبالقلق والضياع إذا ألحدت أو أنكرتْ.
إنَّ علم النفس يدرس في الإنسان إدراكه وعواطفه وسلوكه. وفي هذه الأركان الثلاثة لن يستقرّ الإنسان ما لم يعرف لماذا جاء ولماذا يعيش وإلى أين يؤول أمرهُ بعد موتِهِ.
