إن البسملة هي أقرب الكلمات إلى الله تعالى، فهي فاتحة القرآن، وهي في هذا الكتاب تتصدر فاتحة علاقة الإنسان المسلم بما حوله، إنها أول آية نزل بها الوحي على نبينا الأكرم محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وآله وسلم، وقد افتتح الله تعالى بها سور القرآن الكريم كلها، إلا سورة براءة، التي عوضت عن بسملتها، البسملة المتكررة في سورة النمل: قال تعالى: "إنه من سليمان وإنه بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم"، وهذا هو سبب تكرار البسملة في سورة النمل، مما يشعرنا بعظمة (بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم) حيث تتبدى أعظم آية في القرآن على الإطلاق، ولهذا بدأ القرآن بها، فكانت المدخل لكتاب الله عز وجل، من خلال استبطانها المبادئ العليا للقرآن الكريم، إذ تشير إلى الحقائق والمعارف والأهداف، التي أرادها الإسلام، فهي شعار المشروع الإلهي على الأرض، يربط وجود وأفعال وأقوال الإنسان بالله عز وجل، فالبسملة تخبرنا عن سبب خلق الله تعالى للكون والإنسان، وكيف هيأ له سبل الهداية والرشاد، وهذا ما نتبينه من خلال مواضيع الكتاب.
الكتاب يطلعنا أيضاً عن سبب تكرار اسمين من أسماء الله تعالى والمرتبطين بالرحمة الإلهية، وهما (الرحمن الرحيم)، والكشف عن سر وجود ثلاثة أسماء للبارئ عز وجل في البسملة (الله، الرحمن، الرحيم)، والبحث عن سر الباء في البسملة، ولماذا القرآن كله يبدأ بحرف الباء، وكيف أن هذا الحرف له علاقة ببدايات الكون والوجود؟
ويجبينا الكتاب منطلقاً من (بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم) عن أسئلة في غاية الأهمية تتعلق بالنظام الإلهي للحياة، ولماذا أوجد الله الكون وخلق الإنسان، وما علاقة الكون بالحروف، وما علاقتها بالجبر والتفويض، ولماذا خالفت البسملة قواعد الإملاء وحذفت منها الألف بعد الباء، ولماذا حروف البسملة نورانية كلها إلا الباء، وما علاقة الباء في البسملة بالانفجار الكوني الكبير، وما الدليل على وجود الله والطريق لمعرفته، وما صفاته تعالى، وكيف نحمده ونشكره، وكيف يكون التخلق بالبسملة؟
ومن موضوعات البحث في هذا الكتاب علاقة البسملة بالملائكة، وكيف أنها أقوى سلاح للانتصار في المعركة، التي تدور رحاها بين الإنسان والشيطان، وأثرها على الجن والملوك والسلاطين.
