السيد علي بن عبد الله بن صالح بن حجي الموسوي البصري (1927 - 2015). كان مرجع الفرقة الشيخية الكرمانية، وهي إحدى الفرق الشيعية الإثني عشرية، وكان إمام مسجد الموسوي الكبير الذي يعد من أكبر مساجد مدينة البصرة. له من المؤلفات «حقائق علمية وتاريخية» و«أحوال الشيخ أحمد الأحسائي والشيخية» و«دفع الاشتباه والريب»، كما ترجم كثيراً من كتب علماء الشيخية السابقين من الفارسية إلى العربية ككتاب «نظرة إلى القرن العشرين» لأستاذه عبد الرضا الإبراهيمي.
توفي يوم الخميس الخامس عشر من يناير / كانون الثاني 2015 الموافق الرابع والعشرين من شهر ربيع الأول 1436 هـ بمدينة البصرة بعد معاناة مع الجلطة الدماغية و مرض السكري وأمراض في القلب.

مع تطور حركة الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي منذ وعد بلفور في العام 1917 وما سبقه من مقدمات، كان لا بدّ من التفتيش عن "عربي" يتولى مسؤولية إطفاء شرارة الثائرين والمعارضين وكبح جماح المنتفضين لتحرير وطنهم.
ووجد العدو الإسرائيلي، على الصعيد اللبناني ضالته في بادئ الأمر، في الرائد في الجيش اللبناني العميل "سعد حدّاد" الذي نصب مسؤولاً عن الجنوب بعد مرور أربعة أشهر تقريباً على بدء الاجتياح الإسرائيلي في آذار (مارس) من العام 1978 فأنشأ ما أسماه بـ"الحرس الوطني" الذي صار "جيش لبنان الجنوبي" بعد موته وانتقال دفّة القيادة إلى اللواء المتقاعد العميل أنطوان لحد، وذلك بغية إرسائه كخط دفاعي أول في وجه زحف المقاومة باتجاه جنود العدو وعناصره وتخفيف الضغط المعنوي والبشري عن كاهله ومواجهة المتطلّعين إلى الانعتاق من نير الاحتلال.
في هذا الإطار جاء هذا الكتاب الذي يضم بين طياته، سرداً مفصلاً للشبكات التجسسية التي قد تتألف أحياناً من شخص واحد أو شخصين أو ثلاثة وأكثر ومن عائلات أيضاً، تخرَّج بعضها في لبنان من خلال التواصل مع جهاز أمن ميليشيا لحد "والجهاز الأسطوري" أي جهاز "الموساد"، وبعضها الآخر تدرّب وتدرج في الخارج، وبعضها مقصود ومفتعل بعد استغلال انسياب حبّ الهالة في روح الإنسان أو شوقه إلى المال، وبعضها بحكم المصادفة ولكن ما يجمع هذه الشبكات هو عنوان الخيانة.
