يشتمل كتاب "تاويل النص التوراتي" للباحث ناجح العموري، على رموز الخطيب والإنبعاث في الحضارات القديمة. لذلك اختار المؤلف غلاف الكتاب صورة نبات "اللفَاح" حصراً، إلا أنها امتدت في متون المباحث إلى المقارنات وكشف المتقاربات والمتشابهات، ثم التناصات بين مختلف تلك الرموز ذات الخصائص النباتية، التي استطاع العقل الجمعي أن يجري على مفاهيمها نوعاً من التقشير والإضافة عبر إزاحة بعض الخصائص واضافة خصائص جديدة معينة بالدلالة المرتبطة بالزمان والمكان ومعتقدات الأقوام والشعوب، أي صياغة مفاهيم جديدة على وفق رموز موروثة وجديدة في آن واحد.
فعندما اختار المؤلف نبات (اللقَاح-البيروح- الأندريك) قصد تسميات مناطقية تتخذ لها صفة وصيرورة على وفق مخيال الشعوب والأقوام، لكنها تؤدي وظائف مثقاربة أن لم تكن متشابهة، خاصة في النتائج وهو ما يقصده في الإخصاب والمحافظة على البقاء.
من هنا جاءت نصوص الكتاب لتكشف عن وجه الحياة الأنصح، فكل نص نظر إليه المؤلف وكأنه مشروعاً معرفياً، يرمي إلى نوع من الحراك الذي يكشف عن وجه من وجوه الحياة، وبمعنى آخر استجلاء الحقائق عبر التاريخ والتاريخ الأسطوري للنص التوراتي تحديداً.
عناوين الكتاب: الفصل الأول: لقاء يعقوب وراحيل، الفصل الثاني: وحدات النص الأسطورية، الفصل الثالث: نسق الزوجات والسراري، الفصل الرابع: اسطورة الانبعاث الكنعاني.
أسطورة نبات اللفّاح نتاج لعقائد الجنس وعبادات القضيب التي كانت شائعة في كل المجتمعات الزراعية الكنعانية وهي من الأساطير التي عرفتها حضارات الشرق، وينطوي اللفّاح رمزياً على الإله اليهوي الذي حاول أن يكون مخصباً ومتباهياً بذكورته ومحاولاً -عبر الكنهوت- التماهي مع الآلهة العراقية التي عرفت بنظامها الإخصابي في الحياة.
