فيما أهملت الأكثرية الفكر في معركتنا الوطنية؛ فإن الصديق العزيز غازي الصوراني لا يزال يُلحّ على الأهمية القصوى للفكر في تلك المعركة، على نحو أدهش البعض، حتى بدا وكأنّه يسبح ضدّ التيّار.
يجيء كتابه هذا "فلسطين وحقّ العودة" في السياق المُشار إليه. وقد حرص المؤلّف على توزيع جهده ما بين النظرية والدراسات السياسية؛ وخيراً فعل. بدأ المؤلّف كتابه بكلمة موجزة عمّا يقوله بعض المفكّرين "عن اليهود واليهودية"، قبل ذكر خلفيَّة عن "اليهود" في التاريخ، حيث لا تاريخ مستقلاً لهم؛ بل كلّ مجموعة يهودية ترتبط بتاريخ القطر الذي تقيم فيه.
وركَّز المؤلّف على الوضع الفلسطيني الراهن، بعد تأكيده على أن القضية هي قضية أرض، في الأساس، وذلك في الفصل الأوّل، الذي حمل عنوان "اللاجئون الفلسطينيون بعد 64 عاماً من النكبة"؛ وانتقل في الفصل الثالث لمناقشة موضوع السيادة على فلسطين، قبل أن يناقش في الفصل الرابع "القانون الدولي وقرارات الأمم المتحدة حول حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني"؛ ويتساءل في الفصل الخامس عمّا يجب عمله "بعد وصول حلّ الدولتين إلى أفق مسدود"؟. ولا يستطيع المؤلّف إلّا أن يدلف إلى مناقشة "استقطاب (فتح) و(حماس) والبديل الغائب في المشهد الفلسطيني"، ليختم فصول الكتاب، بعطيات وأرقام حول الشعب الفلسطيني واللاجئين في الوطن والشتات، حتّى1/1/2012.
يُفكّك الباحث هذه المعطيات والأرقام في جداول تفصيلية، في كل من الضفة الغربية، وقطاع غزّة، والأردن، ولبنان، وسوريا، قبل عرض جداول أخرى لتوزيع اللاجئين في الأراضي الفلسطينية التي احتُلت العام 1967 (في المدن)، وللذكور والإناث، مع ملحق بالأشكال البيانية الخاصّة بتوزيع الشعب الفلسطيني، وملحق آخر عن "الأساس القانوني لحقّ العودة"، لراهب العودة، د.سلمان أبو ستّة.
وأخيراّ، هذا الكتاب يُمثّل إضافة، ويتضمَّن تجديداً لما فات من أرقام ومعطيات، عن اللاجئين الفلسطينيين، دون أن يُهمل التعاطي مع الأمر من الزاوية الساسية؛ وما ضاع حقٌ وراءه مناضل.
