"كان من البلاء الذي حاق بهذه الأمة أن طحنتها الحروب وتعاورتها أيدي اللئام والأشرار، وقد طال هذا الوضع حتى غدا سمةَ هذا العصر ووصمتَه، وكان من بين ذلك ما شهدناه من مآسٍ يلتاع لها الفؤاد ويندى لهولها الجبين..
في هذا الديوان.. قصائد متعددة، لم تجرِ على وتيرة واحدة، ولم أكتفِ فيها بذرف الدموع وتجرع الآلام؛ فهذه الأمور قد اعتدنا عليها حتى سئمناها وسئمتنا، لا سيما وأنها لا تغني عنا فتيلاً!.. لم أُرِدْ أن أتكلم عن أسباب المشكلة دون طرح الحل، ولا عن تشخيص المرض دون تقديم العلاج؛ ولذلك وصفتُ الحال وكتبتُ بمداد قلم وأنين قلب ودموع عين، وتكلمتُ عن بعض المواقف والأحداث، وسقتُ شيئاً من سِيَر الشهداء العظام-لا سيما القادة منهم-، وأخيراً خلصتُ إلى نتيجتين متلاحمتين كل منهما تؤدي إلى الأخرى.. ولذلك ركَّزتُ عليهما.. أما الأولى؛ فهي بيان وتحليل دوافع اليهود والتي أبانت بجلاء عن أن اليهود أهل بغي وظلم وإجرام؛ ولذا فلا طريق لخلاصنا منهم ولا لخلاصهم هم من نزعة الشر إلا سبيل واحد لا غير يتمثل في الجهاد المادي والمعنوي، الديني والفكري وذلك الذي يكون في المعركة-وهي النتيجة الثانية-..
