إن (الكامل) – وهو يروم تمكين الطالب من التحدث والقراءة والكتابة والمحاورة والإستيعاب والمناقشة – يتأسس منهجياً على أمرين غير منفصلين، هما: التكامل في تقديم مهارات اللغة (الإستماع والتحدث والقراءة والكتابة) ثم اعتماد مكونات نظام الوحدة التعلمية Educational Module في تصميمه، وهو ما تمثّل في إعداد مجموعة من الوحدات التعليمية التي تدمج المعرفة بالنشاط، والمهارة بالقيمة والوجدان، واللسانية بالعلمية، واللغة بالآداب، بحيث يمكن تحويل الوحدة التعلمية إلى وحدة تعلّم إلكتروني فعّال، وفق ما تتيحه بيئة التعلّم التي تتبنى هذا الكتاب في التدريس.
يعزّز منهج (الكامل) نظام التعلّم الذاتي، ويتيح – في الآن ذاته – مناخاً إجتماعياً تعلّمياً ينأى عن الروتين، ويدعم المشاركة الإيجابية التعاونية. وينمّي مهارات التفكير الناقد لدى طالب ينبغي له، في عصرنا الحالي، أن يرى معلمه موجهاً ومرشداً لا ملقناً ومحاضراً؛ ولهذا فإن الكتاب، بمستوييه، ما هو إلا حصاد دربةٍ وتدريبٍ في تعلّم العربية وفنونها وآدابها وقيمها، من خلال نصوصٍ متنوعة اختيرت لغاياتٍ قيمية تمتاح من التراث الأدبي والفلسفي والمعرفي، ثم من القضايا الحياتية والإهتمامات اليومية المألوفة للطالب في محيطه.
