يجمع هذا الكتاب (حوارات شاملة مع الصحافة) اللبنانية أجريت مع المعلم والفيلسوف كمال جنبلاط للفترة (1949-1977) يمكن اعتبارها صورة عن المشهد السياسي والإجتماعي في لبنان في تلك الآونة، وعن برامج الإصلاح التي نادى بها جنبلاط ومنها برنامج الجبهة الإشتراكية، وبرنامج الحزب التقدمي الإشتراكي ثم رأي المعلم في مختلف القضايا الداخلية والخارجية، والعلاقة مع سورية، ومع العالم العربي وكذلك كلمات جنبلاط في مؤتمرات خاصة بالحزب التقدمي ورأيه بالإنتخابات والأحزاب اللبنانية والنظام الرئاسي والحكومة اللبنانية في أكثر من مرحلة قبل انفجار الحرب الأهلية والعلاقة مع الفلسطينيين وموقف القوى التقدمية من الحلف الأميركي الناشط في المنطقة مع الفئات الرجعية اللبنانية الإنعزالية. ولم يخلُ الكتاب من فصول في (أدب الحياة) و (أدب الإنسانية) و (أدب الحوار). فعندما سأل المعلم عن معنى (الحبيبة واحدة!) وهل يمكن أن يحب الإنسان امرأتين أو أكثر بصدق؟ أجاب " لا .. لا الحب يفرض أحادية الزواج أي، الحب في رأينا ومنظارنا هو توحيد، كما أن الإنسان لا يستطيع أن يتعبد لإلهين، فكذلك أن حبّه من خلال صور مخلوقاته لا يمكن إلا أن ينزع بطبيعته إلى وحدة القلوب، ومن ثم إلى وحدة النفوس وأخيراً إلى الوحدة في مجلى الأحد الصمد الفريد".
يضم الكتاب ما يزيد عن الستين حوار بالإضافة إلى آراء ومواقف وكلمات يمكن لها أن تشكل رسالة إجتماعية ذات قيمة عالية، تؤشر على تنوع فكر كمال جنبلاط العلمي والسياسي والثقافي والإقتصادي والإجتماعي والإنساني قبل كل شيء. إنها حياة كاملة في كتاب.
