وقد عالجت في هذا الكتاب بعضاً من الصعوبات التي يمكن أن يواجهها المترجم في عمله، وحاولت جاهداً أن أقدم أمثلة توضح الفكرة التي أتكلم عنها، وأن أستشهد بقول ذوي الخبرة في هذا النوع من الفنون الأدبية، وأن أذكر القليل مما عاناه أساتذتنا الأوائل في ترجماتهم حتى أصبحت تلك الترجمات مرجعاً ومنارة لكل من يبغي الفائدة والمعرفة.
وتحدثت في هذا الكتاب عن الترجمة الفورية وأساليبها وعن أسس وضع المصطلح من تعريب واشتقاق ومجاز.. كما تطرقت إلى صعوبات الترجمة ووضعت حلولاً لتعريب أسماء العلم وترجمة الأمثال والمختصرات...
كما يوجد في هذا الكتاب فصل عن بعض أخطاء الترجمة والصواب منها..
