يتمحور هذا الديوان حول الأماكن والأحداث والنساء التي أحبها يوسف أو تأملها بألفة أو إرتاح إليها، نجد أنهن أولاً القريبات "هن قلبي كيفما دون ريدور"، شادن و"قلبي يرفّ لها، يتابعها"، فاطمة القلب الودود "التي يتدرّب على قبول موتها"، وثريا "الزاخرة بالحياة"... بمسرح يوسف كل قصيدة، إذ يكفي أن يمرّ حدث بسيط كي يتوهّج الشعر... أن تمرّ وجوه أليفة أو موحية يشكّل ظهورها حنيناً إلى ماضٍ أو إستعادة لطعم حزن أو فرح... أو عودة إلى تساؤل وقلق.
تعطي هذه القصائد أبعادها الكثيرة للتفاصيل الصغيرة، فهي لا تهاجر إلى واقع بديل، بل تتفحّص الواقع وتعيد سبكه وصياغته بوساعة القلب، لذا نلحظ تأثير البيئة في المفردات والمخيلة والصور، حيث يتداخل النثري بالشعري حيث تسرد القصيدة أحياناً، وتومض أحياناً أخرى.
هذه القصائد هي صور لحياة متكاملة ممتلئة بوحيها، تحول الكلام اليومي إلى عبارات شعرية، تستخرج من ثقل الحياة اليومية رفيف فراشات، وتحول ما تراكم في الذاكرة من حجارة الأيام إلى رهافة الغيوم الجميلة.
في هذا الديوان يتوالد تنوع القصائد من وحدتها... هي فعل إيمان وإعتراف بجميل النساء في هذا العالم... وفي حياته... استوحاهنّ يوسف كأجمل وأصدق الأمثلة وهو يدرك أنهن شعاع الأمل وخشبة الخلاص ورحيق هذا الوجود...
ربما كانت "نساء يوسف" في ديوانه "كيمياء النساء" موقع الإطمئنان، والألفة والتأمل والفرح، ونسيم الفردوس ومستقبل الإنسان حيال قساوة العالم بالرغم من إلحاح القلق الإنساني وقد أضاءت حياته إمرأة... مرّ بفجرها "عصفور قلبه"، فوهبته "أشرعة الأم"، وأوحت له بهذه القصائد...
