قصائد "مريم هاشمي" المجموعة في هذا الديوان، تشير إلى مصدر غامضٍ في أصله وماهيته، تصدرُ عنه الكتابة وتلوذُ به الأحوال، وهذا المصدر هو "الروح" وليس للروّح من تحديد أو تعريف، بل هِيَ سرٌّ من أسرار الخالق عز وجل، يتجلّى في مخلوقاته؛ لذلك نستطيع إعتبار قصائد مريم، شكلاً من أشكال تجليَّات "الرُّوح" في الشعر، مثلما تتجلَّى في الطبيعة وجميع الكائنات... في الطفل، في الوردة، في الأمّ... في دورة الموت والحياة.
معنى ذلك أن أصل الشعر لديها، ليس مادّياً، بل هو غيي، وأنّ شواهد القصائد التي تعمُرُ الكلمات والعبارات، ما هي إلا شواهد الطبيعة، من بحرٍ، ومطرٍ، وريحٍ، دلائل القدرة وآيات خالق الخلق في الوجود.
