قال تعالى: (والمُطلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلَاثَةَ قُرُوءٍ) [البقرة: 228]، وقال تعالى: (والَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنكُم وَيَذًرُونَ أَزْوَاجاً يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنُفسِهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْراً) [البقرة: 234]...
أوجب الله تعالى العدة على المرأة في حق زوجها في حالتي الوفاة والطلاق، إظهاراً لحق الزوج ووفاءً بالعهد الذي كان بينهما، وخضوعاً لأمر الله تعالى.
ومن هنا جاءت أهمية هذا البحث: فهي تنبع من أهميته في الإسلام، ومن حاجة المرأة المسلمة لأحكام هذه الفريضة، ولا سيما أن هناك جهل كبير بأحكام العدة، فربّما فقدت المرأة زوجها قبل الدخول أو بعده أو وقع الطلاق بينهما، فتكون محتاجة إلى معرفة الأحكام المتعلقة بالعدة، ولا تجد ما يحقق رغبتها اللهَّم إلا ما كان مبعثراً في المصادر القديمة والحديثة مما يتعلق بالحداد والعدة، أو من تلك الإفتاءات العامية والخرافات الشائعة في مجتمعاتنا.
ومن هذا المنطلق فقد ساهمت بهذا الجهد المتواضع خدمة للشريعة الإسلامية، وقد عزمت على الكتابة في هذا الموضوع تيسيراً وتسهيلاً على من يحتاج إليه.
