كتاب "الدر المنظوم" هو ديوان شعر للسيد عبد الله بن علوي "المعروف بالحداد التريمي اليمني الحسيني" وهو يضم مائة وخمسون قصيدة جاءت كلها في العقيدة الإسلامية، حيث جمعت الكثير من الحكم واللطائف، والأسرار والمعارج والحقائق فجاءت كلها بالرمز والتلويح، والتوضيح والتصريح، وضمنه من علوم التوحيد والتغريد والتقديس، ومن علوم الإسلام والأعيان واليقين والإحسان بالإشارة والعبارة والتبيين، وقد تقلد فيه سيوف البيان والفصاحة، والإيضاح والبلاغة، وقد أودع فيه العديد من الجواهر والأمور الكشفية، والأسرار والحكم ما لا يحصى ولا يخفى على القارئ ما في نظمه من النفع للخاص والعام، فله تأثير في القلوب وفيه الموعظة والتذكير، حتى أنه قد يسمعه الجاني المريض فتقع له التوبة والرجوع إلى ربّ العالمين... إلى ما وراء ذلك.
