يقول الله تعالى: "قل بفضل الله وبرحمته فبذلك فليفرحوا"، ويقول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إن الله قد جعل الفرح والروح في الرضا واليقين وجعل الغم والحزن في السخط الشك" متفق عليه. ويجد القارئ في هذا الكتاب مقارنة صريحة بين مفهوم الأخلاق في الإسلام ومفهوم الأخلاق عند الغربيين. انظر إلى الفيلسوف نيتشه كيف يقول في كتابه (إرادة القوة): "يجب أن نحيا حياة سافرة حرة"، "إذا اقتضى الأمر أن نسير فوق الجماجم فأي شيء يمنعنا أن تدوسها بل نسحقها" هذه أخلاق الحرية في الغرب ومنها حرية التعبير التي يتشبث بها البعض.
وفي مقابل هذه الأخلاق يقرأ المسلم في كتاب الله "ولا تستوي الحسنة ولا السيئة ادفع بالتي هي أحسن فإذا الذي بينك وبينه عداوة كأنه ولي حميم". يقول المؤلف: "إن الغرب يدوس على الأخلاق في سبيل مصالحه الفاجرة، والإسلام يبني الأخلاق على الفطرة الطاهرة والأفكار النيرة".
