جهود طائلة وإمكانات هائلة يصرفها الإنسان من أجل الإهتمام بجسمه وبحياته المادية، حتى أصبح كل جانب من جوانب الحياة المادية عالماً قائماً بذاته؛ ففي مجال الغذاء والطعام هناك: الزراعة وتربية المواشي وأسماك البحر، ومصانع الأطعمة والأغذية بمختلف ألوانها وأشكالها، وفي مجال الصحة والطب: هناك الجامعات والمستشفيات ومصانع الأدوية والبحوث والإكتشافات، وفي مجال الألبسة والأزياء وشؤون المنزل وقضايا الأناقة والجمال: هناك آفاق واسعة وإهتمام كبير.
وعلى صعيد الإهتمام بالجانب العقلي من شخصية الإنسان تتقدم البشرية بخطى حثيثة لإكتشاف مجاهل العلم والكون؛ فكل فرع من فروع المعرفة له تخصصه ومؤسساته، وهناك المدارس والجامعات ومراكز البحوث والدراسات، والمؤتمرات ودوائر المعارف والمجلات والمطبوعات، ولا تزال مسيرة الإختراعات والإكتشافات العلمية متواصلة متتابعة.
أما الجانب الروحي النفسي فهو البعد المهمل والمتروك من شخصية الإنسان، حيث لا يستأثر إلا بإهتمام ضعيف بسيط، وحتى مجال دراسات علم النفس فإنها غالباً ما تنحو نحو الإتجاه المادي، وتتجاهل العمق الروحي المعنوي.
