منذ العام 2005، بدأت مسيرة البحث والتفتيش عن المصادر والأصول لآل سلامه في لبنان والعالم.
بعد هذه المسيرة الطويلة، توصل الكاتب إلى إكتشاف مكان "الينبوع" وهو المصدر الأول للأصول، في منطقة حضرموت من بلاد اليمن، حيث هناك، خرج المولود المس مّى، سلامه الأوّل، الجدّ الأكبر، لآل سلامه في العالم، خرج من رحم بني تميم والتي يعود أصولها من عدنان من إسماعيل بن إيراهيم الخليل.
من هذا "الينبوع"، خرجت العائلات، وتوزعت في فروع عديدة ومتعدّدة، إلى كافة المناطق الواسعة الإنتشار في العالم منذ ألفيّ عام، وبعد هذا التاريخ، تعدّدت الأصول والفروع والمصادر، كما تبيّن معنا في هذه الدراسة.
أمّا عائلات سلامة المتواجدين في لبنان منذ أكثر من سبعماية عام، فقد أفادت عنهم المصادر التاريخية، بأنهم كانوا من مواطني بلدة معاد التاريخيّة، كما أن هناك فروع أخرى ومن طوائف مختلفة، قد دخلت الأراضي اللبنانية بعد هذا التاريخ، وفي فترات مختلفة من بلاد حوران وأيضاً من نواحٍ مختلفة من البلاد السورية.
هذا بإختصار كليّ، قصّة كتاب "الينبوع"، إنه أرث ثمين تورثونه لأجيالكم من بعدكم فيكون لهم دليلاً ومرجعاً
