الزواج والإنجاب مسؤولية كبيرة، لا في إعالة الأسرة، وتأمين احتياجاتها المادية فحسب بل، خصوصا في بناء شخصية تسعد في هذه الحياة، ويعتمد ذلك بالدرجة الأولي، على العلاقة الثلاثية بين الأب وألام والطفل، هذه العلاقة التي لا تكون فعالة إلا إذا اعتمدت على الحب الجامع بين الأقطاب الثلاثة: وهذا الحب لا يحاصر الإنسان المعاصر من كل اتجاه وقد أصبح كالوحش الأسطوري، ضمن إطار شريعة الغاب المسيطرة على عالمه الحالي والمسيرة لعلاقات الناس والمجتمعات المعاصرة بعضها ببعض بحيث غدا هذا الإنسان عاجزاً عن الزوج من دائرة الحصار.
ومن هنا يثور التساؤل: ما مفهوم الشبيبة العربية المعاصرة "للكوبل" الوالدي وكيف تواجه فكرة الزواج في ظل الواقع الذي تعايشه؟ وهل تمتلك السلاح الوافي لمجابهة الصعاب التي تعترض طريق تحقيقها للزواج؟ الإجابة الوافية على هذه التساؤلات تطرحها "كريستين نصار" في هذه الدراسة النظرية والميدانية التي تعالج تأثير وتأثر التاريخ الجغرافيا في سيكولوجية الإنسان الذي يتميز بمواصفات فريدة خاصة به تناولت القسم الأكبر منها ضمن إطار دراستها لخصائص تطور الطفل لدى امتيازه مختلف مراحل النمو، ودراستها لمعاش الطفل الحيوي لدى انخراطه في وضعية صعبة كتلك التي تخلقها الحرب ومختلف الانعكاسات السلبية المحدثة في نفسه، ومواقف الأسرة العربية بشكل عام واللبنانية بشكل خاص، من الاضطراب الذي يعتري كيانه ويغزو شخصيته، ولكن بحثها لهذه الأطر الحيوية، وان كان تفصيلياً ومعمقاً، لا يكفي لإيفاء "الكوبل الوالدي" حقه من البحث والتمحيص نظراً للخصائص المتعددة التي تميزه عن العائلة: لذا وجدت المؤلفة انه لمن الضروري دراسة موقف الطفل العربي من والديه كثنائي يضمهما معاً عبر دراسة معاشه العلائقي معه، أما الجزء الثاني من هذا العمل فيتعرض لموضوع موقف "الكوبل الوالدي" العري من الطفل وموقف هذا الأخير منه على ضوء ما أظهرته دراستها الميدانية لمعاش الطفل الحيوي وقد تضمن الكتاب جداول وبيانات توثق ما ذهبت إليه الباحثة.
