عرضنا في الكتاب الأول "ميشيل فوكو ونقد فلسفة التاريخ"، وهو جزء من ثلاثية تدور حول موضوع عام تحت عنوان "فوكو ونقد الحداثة"، المسار الفلسفي الذي نهجه الفيلسوف الفرنسي تشكل فيه مشروعه النقدي، من جهة لتاريخ الفلسفات الميتافزيقية منذ الإغريق إلى الحقبة المعاصرة، ومن جهة ثانية للقضايا الأساسية التي تهم الإنسان المعاصر: قضايا الحقيقة والأخلاق والسلطة؛ ومن خلالها قضايا أخرى مرتبطة بها: التاريخ والعقل والسياسة والإبستيمولوجيا والخطاب واللغة والفكر والإنسان... إلخ.
ركزنا في الكتاب الأول على موضوع التاريخ والفلسفات ذات النزعة التاريخية المفرطة في نزعتها، والمبنية على قيم ومفاهيم ميتافيزيقية نشأت مع أفلاطون وامتدت إلى الحداثة، مع ديكارت وكانط وهيجل وغيرهم من الفلاسفة الألمان والفرنسيين والأنكلوساكسون؛ فمنذ كتاب "تاريخ الجنون" بدا أن هناك منحى جديداً تماماً في مجال الفلسفة.
فهذ الكتاب لا يقصد فقط دراسة فكر فوكو لأجل ذاته، وإنما إستثمار أعمال هذا الأخير، لدراسة الفلسفات التقليدية والحديثة التي بلورت فهماً معيناً حول الإنسان والتاريخ والأخلاق والحقيقة، فمثلاً، في هذا الكتاب لا تقل أهمية بول دي طارس Paul de Tarse أو القديس أوغسطين Saint augustin عن أهمية كانط أو هيجل أو ماركس.
وعليه، فإن الأهم عندنا في عملنا هذا هو الراهن والإنسان! ولهذا علاقة مباشرة بأهدافنا وبما نتطلع للبحث فيه في مجال الفكر الذي تطور ونمى وامتد في العالم العربي الإسلامي، حيث سيكون علينا أن نجيب على الأسئلة التي نعتقد انها ظلت لحد اليوم في طي الصمت والنسيان، علينا بدورنا أن نستفيق من السبات الأنثروبولوجي!...
