تفتقر المكتبة العربية إلى أدبيات عن الإبادة الجماعية، لذا أطلقنا أول سلسلة متخصصة (من إبادة الأرمن إلى إبادة الأيزيديين - مائة عام من الإبادة الجماعية)، يحتل هذا الكتاب الترتيب الثاني في السلسلة.
وهو محاولة لإثارة الإنتباه إلى آخر إبادة فظيعة شهدها العالم، تشكل في التاريخ الأيزيدي حلقة إضافية لتاريخ متصل من الأبادات، إذ يؤرخ الأيزيديون لــ "72" أبادة جماعية في ذاكرتهم، يطلقون عليهم تسمية "الفرمانات" ويضيفون الرقم 73 لوصف الإبادة على يد تنظيم داعش.
نطمح إلى أن يكون هذا المشروع مناسبة لحراك ثقافي وفكري من أجل فهم كيفية تفجر نوبات التطهير العرقي والقتل الجماعي، وبالتالي نكون قادرين على منع وقوعها في المستقبل، الأمر الذي يتطلب منا مراجعات وإصلاحات في طرق تفكيرنا، كما في إصلاح مناهجنا التعليمية.
وفي هذا السياق، هناك رسالة مهمة في هذه المناسبة توجه إلى المجتمع الدولي، أو بعبارة أدق دعوة إصلاحية حول تطوير الهياكل والأطر المؤسسية الدولية لمنع الإبادة المقبلة، على نحو يتجاوز إخفاقات وفشل القادة الدوليين لوقف الإبادة الجماعية المروعة في البوسنة ورواندا ودارفور وسنجار.
تجاوز يرتسم في محاولة إصلاح فشل المجتمع الدولي لمنع وقمع ومعاقبة الإبادة الجماعية المعاصرة بتوفير تحليل متعدد المستويات عن تأثير الإبادة الجماعية في بناء النظام العالمي، والعلاقة بين السياسة والأخلاق، ودور القوة العسكرية في وقف الإبادة الجماعية، ودعم المجتمع المدني العالمي الناشئ.
والأهم من كل ذلك، أن تتحول المناسبة إلى فرصة لإطلاق تحالف عالمي "تحالف الضحايا" في مواجهة المصالح الدولية ونخب البزنس الإثنوطائفي عبر العالم، تحالف يقوم على خطوات عملية يمكن للمجتمع الدولي إتخاذها لتحسين رد الفعل على الإبادة الجماعية المقبلة، واعتقد أن هذا جزء من رسالة هذا الكتاب.
