إذاً، ما الذي يجعل منا، نحن القاطنين شرق المتوسط، أو نحن العرب، بصيغة أعم، موضوعاً لتفكير الآخرين؟ ماذا يمكن أن نفعل لنكون هذا الموضوع؟ وهل حقاً إذا كنا موضوعاً لتفكير الآخرين نحدث؟ وإذا حدثنا جراء ذلك، هل يكون حدوثنا حقيقياً، أم حدوث يصنعه هؤلاء الآخرون، دون أن تكون لنا فيه أي مشاركة؟ وإذا حدثنا دون مشاركتنا، هل يكون هذا هو الحدوث الذي لأجله يصاب العربي بالقشعريرة غير المفسرة؟ إنما العربي الهارب من النسق ومن البنية ومن التشابه ومن عسف السلطات، والمنحاز للبهاء، وفق تعريف نيتشه للبهاء:
"يبدو أحياناً أن الفنان والفيلسوف بالخصوص عبارة عن مجرد صدفة في عصره(...)، تقوم الطبيعة التي لا تقفز أبداً، مع ظهوره، بقفزتها الوحيدة، وهي قفزة البهجة، لكونها تشعر أنها تحقق لأول مرة الهدف. هناك حيث تدرك أنها بلعبها مع الحياة والصيرورة كانت في مواجهة أصعب مقابلة. يجعلها هذا الاكتشاف تلمع ويعلو وجهها عياء مسائي ناعم، ذلك الذي يسميه الناس بهاء".
هذا البهاء الذي يمكن أن يكون العلامة الأشد حضوراً في حدوثنا-وجودنا إذ يتحقق.
