بين يدينا الرواية الرومانسية الجديدة للأديب العراقي لميس كاظم بعنوان " همس الغرام ". ترصد الرواية حياة عائلتين بغداديتين عاشتا زمني السلم الأهلي والحصار. ترتبط العائلتان بعلاقة اجتماعية وطيدة. تهمس الرواية الى موضوع الحب في العلاقة الزوجية وأسباب تدهوره بعد الزواج. فكما هو شائع بأن الرجل يلاحق المرأة ليصارحها بحبه لكن في هذه الرواية الأمر مختلفا. إذ يفرض الحب نفسه على امرأة متزوجة وتبقى تصارعه لكنه يتغلب عليها فتستلم لمشاعرها وتلاحق حبيبها سرا وبإيماءات متنوعة. رغم بعد المسافات لم ينطفئ قنديل الحب في قلبها بل يلهبها شوقاً. كانت تتشبث ببصيص أمل يضيء قلبها المحترق.
نقرأ مقطع من الرواية " لم تُبرد ثلوج مالمو حرارة نوازع داليا. كان سامي يتوقع أنها نست أشواقها في بغداد وهذه السنين ستذوب لوعتها وتتعامل معه كصديق. غض البصر عن نظراتها في اللقاءات الأولى. هرب من تلاقي العيون. لم يستمر ذلك فترة طويلة بل حاصرته فصمتت بوجهه كالسابق. كأنها تجسّ قلبه. حينئذ تأكد أن قلبها لم يغير نغمته. لم تغير طرق الأحتكاك به. كانت تلوي جسمها وتضيق الزاوية ليشم عبقها كأنها توقظ ومضات الماضي. كانت تصطدم به مرارا بطريقة عفوية لكنها تقف أمامه فارشه خلجاتها بساطا يحدد مسار طريقه. كان يحس بعد كل لقاء بنشوة الوجد وأنه جدد مزاجه وأنعش خلجاته".
تتابع الرواية حياتهما الجديدة في السويد. تتشابك علاقاتهم وتتنوع خلافاتهم ممزوجة بين الماضي والحاضر. تتغير الأدوار ويلعب المنفى دوراً بارزا في سلوك ابطال الرواية. تنتهي الرواية بحلول درامية مشوقة. - الحوار المتمدن
