هذا كتاب "تنوير الحوالك شرحٌ على موطأ مالك" لمؤلفه الإمام "جلال الدين عبد الرَّحمن بن أبي بكر السيوطي الشافعي" المتوفى سنة 911هـ، وهو شرح ميسر على موطأ الإمام "مالك" يلبي حاجة القارئ الكريم لفهم وإستيضاح معاني الأحاديث الواردة في الموطأ دون الحاجة إلى الغوص بالمطولات التي عنيت بشرحه وتفصيله كالتمهيد والإستذكار وغيرها، لأن ذلك الأمر يحتاج إلى التخصص وعمق النظر بعلوم كثيرة عديدة، أما بالنسبة للمثقف وطالب العلم فيمكن له الإحاطة بمعاني الموطأ وغوامضه من خلال هذا الشرح الذي اعتنى بتحقيقه السيد "عبد الغني مستو" وخرج من أحاديثه.
والموطأ كتاب حديث وسنّة وفقه، ومنهج مالك في تدوينه أن يذكر الأحاديث في الموضوع الفقهي الذي اجتهد فيه، ثم يذكر عمل أهل المدينة المجمع عليه، ثم يذكر رأى من ألتقى بهم من التابعين وأهل الفقه، ثم يذكر الرأي المشهور في المدينة، وإن لم يكن شيء من ذلك بين يديه في المسألة اجتهد رأيه على ضوء ما يعلم من الأحاديث والفتاوى والأقضية.
