"تفتح الأمهات نوافذ قلوبهم، يدخل هواء البوح، يحرك الستائر المطرزة بالأسرار ومزهرية فيها أعواد إناث هناك عبر النافذة، عجوز خلعت قوائهما الثلاث وجلست على الهم لتنام...، تحدثني الأمهات عن بناتهن عن ورود أزهرت، في دولة قيصر أراد الجناة وأد البنات وأد البنات خاتمة الأمهات الأمهات حسيرات فوق التلة يرضعن بناتهن حولين كاملين من الحزن المعتق، قضية الأمهات في الظل اليهودي أنجبت قضايا ضمتهن غزة قبلتهن الضفة خاطت ثيابهن عكا والقدس زينت شعورهن بالأعلام فلما بلغن من العمر عرساً زغردة الوالدات بعيون فيها الحلم تحطم عصفت على العرس رياح تحتفل أشعلت غبار الاحتضار وشموع الجنائز، عرس بين أنياب مأتم... اشتعل رأس الانتفاضة ألماً وهي تتهيأ خلف القضبان يسوق الاحتلال عمرها جرماً محكوماً بالإعدام، جردوها من سوارها والأقراط خلخالها يصدر صوت الأنات تترقبها أريحاً والخليل في كدر ورام الله وبيت لحم تطلب لها الاستئناف الوالدات أغلقن النوافذ عن باطن قلب شاهدن موت الجاني مع إغماضة عيون ضحاياه، يعلق القمر نصره على جبينهن والأحلام ضوء أمانيهن يسطع شعلة ينفك من جذب الجاني وأشباك الذلة يزف الجسد المتحرر عزاً للديار وأملاً للقمر المثنى".
