إن موضوع هذه الدراسة هو تسبيب أحكام التحكيم؛ وذلك نظراً لأهمية التسبيب في الأحكام بصفة عامة؛ أو في أحكام التحكيم بصفة خاصة؛ ذلك إن الأسباب تحمل في مجملها تأكيدات الحكم؛ والسبيل الذي أوصل المحكم إلى ما انتهى إليه في حكمه.
تضمنت الدراسة تحديداً لمفهوم التسبيب، وبيان أهميته العلمية والعملية، كما تضمنت مدى وجوبية التسبيب، ونطاق الإلتزام القانوني به، وذلك من خلال عرض موقف بعض التشريعات العربية والأجنبية، وكذلك موقف بعض المعاهدات والأنظمة العربية والأجنبية، كما تضمنت الدراسة توضيحاً بسيطاً عن مفردات حكم التحكيم ومشتملاته، وكيفية إصداره على إعتبار أن التسبيب يمثل عنصراً رئيسياً من العناصر التي يتكون منها حكم التحكيم، ثم تناولت الدراسة توضيحاً متواضعاً للمضمون القانوني للتسبيب وبيان ضوابط تسبيب أحكام التحكيم المتضمنة شروط صحته، وكذلك بيان عيوبه والآثار المترتبة على الإخلال به في حالة فرضه، أو وجوبيته سواء بإتفاق أطراف النزاع، أو وفقاً للقانون.
