يعرف الكثير من المعنيين بإستقراء الشعر العربي - عبر عصوره المختلفة - إن هناك عدداً من الباحثين اهتموا بدراسة البيئة الطبيعية المتحركة منها والصامتة، بوصفها عالماً يستمد منه الشعراء أفكارهم وصورهم واخيلتهم للإفصاح عن تجاربهم ورؤاهم، ومن زوايا رصد متباينة من باحث لآخر.
بيد إن اللافت للنظر، إن أولئك الباحثين - على الرغم من فضل ريادتهم - لم يعيروا إهتماماً - يستحق الذكر - في دراساتهم، لما اصطلح على تسميته بــ (أنسة الطبيعة) التي عمد الشعراء إليها في تضاعيف خطاباتهم الشعرية بهذا القدر أو ذلك، حتى إنها - أي الأنسنة - شكلت إتجاهاً مستقلاً بنفسه، بصياغة فنية تخلب الالباب، وتأسر القلوب، وتتسم بالإيجاز لا الإسهاب، وبالمجاز لا بالحقيقة المجردة.
وقد غدا مصطلح الأنسنة أحد المصطلحات الأدبية والنقدية التي أقرها - مؤخراً - مجمع اللغة العربية في القاهرة، نقلاً عن الترجمة الإنكليزية (Humanize) أو (Humane) وفحواه بإيجاز من يخلع عليه صفة بشرية، أو يمثله في صورة بشرية، أو يعدله ليلائم الطبيعة البشرية، بكلمة أخرى تعني (الأنسنة) إنزال غير العاقل من الحيوان أو النبات أو الجماد أو المعاني المجردة منزلة العاقل نطقاً وصورةً وحركةً، أي يغدو غير العاقل إنساناً أو على صورة إنسان.
