خليل رامز سركيس، علم من أعلام الحركة الثقافية اللبنانية، وصحافي لامع أغنى المكتبة الثقافية بعطاءات أدبية مهمة.
ولد خليل رامز سركيس في بيروت عام 1921، درس في جامعة القديس يوسف والجامعة الأميركية في بيروت.
جدّ أبيه لوالدته المعلم الكبير بطرس البستاني وجدّه خليل خطار سركيس انشأ جريدة لسان الحال البيروتية في العام 1877، وأنشأ المطبعة الأدبية، أما والده رامز سركيس الذي ورث عن أبيه «لسان الحال» من 1919 إلى 1941، فانتخب نائباً عن بيروت، وعيّن وزيراً للتربية الوطنية.
من 1942 حتى 1959 تولى خليل رامز سركيس رئاسة تحرير جريدة «لسان الحال» وهو المستشار الأدبي «للندوة اللبنانية».
تزوج العام 1959 جوان وديع واكد ولهما ولدان.
بعض مؤلفاته ترجم إلى لغات عديدة منها الفرنسية والإنكليزية، والإسبانية والبرتغالية والإيطالية.
يعتبر خليل رامز سركيس أن حياة الأديب في مؤلفاته، أكثر مما هي في سيرته وأخباره.
مؤلفاته: «صوت الغائب»، «من لا شيء»، «أيام السماء» «وصية في كتاب»، «أرضنا الجديدة»، «مصير» و«جعيتا».

القول - الحوار نجده متحققاً في "زواج مدني: بعل وبك"، حوار ينهض بالتعبير كموج البحر يطوي صفحة الماء طياً، وإذ يموج القول - الحوار فإنه يتضمن ايضاً قيعاناً ثابتة هي محطات القول وقضاياه المستمرة، قضايا الاجتماع الإنساني الكلاسيكية، خصوصاً في المشرق ذي الحضارات العريقة الحاضرة دائماً لا تتحول ولا تزول. لذلك نقرأ كتاب خليل رامز سركيس بتمهل، ونستعيده بتمهل ايضاً، وربما حين نقرأه بعد زمن يقصر أو يطول، نكتشف فيه جديداً، عبر تلك اليقظات التي يحدثها في نفوسنا لتتفتح على وعي، على جواب قليل وسؤال كثير. ولا بد من الإشارة الى اللغة المتفردة لخليل رامز سركيس، تتمثل فيها جمالية العربية اللبنانية في أنقى تجوهرها، كما تجربة الكاتب المتميزة في جمع الأدب بالفكر، والعمارة اللغوية بالبناء الفلسفي، واختصار القول باختزال الافكار المرسلة في الفكرة - الأم أو الفكرة - الجوهر.
وإذ الحوار ثنائية متحاورين، فإن حوار الكتاب بين أطراف ثلاثة: "بعل" و"بك" وثالث صامت هو الهيكل كفعل مشاركة بين الاثنين وكحافز للحوار وموضوع له وشأن مقيم.
