خليل رامز سركيس، علم من أعلام الحركة الثقافية اللبنانية، وصحافي لامع أغنى المكتبة الثقافية بعطاءات أدبية مهمة.
ولد خليل رامز سركيس في بيروت عام 1921، درس في جامعة القديس يوسف والجامعة الأميركية في بيروت.
جدّ أبيه لوالدته المعلم الكبير بطرس البستاني وجدّه خليل خطار سركيس انشأ جريدة لسان الحال البيروتية في العام 1877، وأنشأ المطبعة الأدبية، أما والده رامز سركيس الذي ورث عن أبيه «لسان الحال» من 1919 إلى 1941، فانتخب نائباً عن بيروت، وعيّن وزيراً للتربية الوطنية.
من 1942 حتى 1959 تولى خليل رامز سركيس رئاسة تحرير جريدة «لسان الحال» وهو المستشار الأدبي «للندوة اللبنانية».
تزوج العام 1959 جوان وديع واكد ولهما ولدان.
بعض مؤلفاته ترجم إلى لغات عديدة منها الفرنسية والإنكليزية، والإسبانية والبرتغالية والإيطالية.
يعتبر خليل رامز سركيس أن حياة الأديب في مؤلفاته، أكثر مما هي في سيرته وأخباره.
مؤلفاته: «صوت الغائب»، «من لا شيء»، «أيام السماء» «وصية في كتاب»، «أرضنا الجديدة»، «مصير» و«جعيتا».

الهواجس الأقلية -من زقاق البلاط إلى كنسغتن، أكثر من كتاب ذكريات، فهو شهادة على التجربة اللبنانية وتحية لبيروت. لأن ما حدث منذ العام 1975 واستمراراً ليس مجرد حرب لبنانية وعربية ودولية بقدر ما هو تدمير لمعالم وقيم نمت وازدهرت في بيروت منذ سبعينيات القرن التاسع عشر (عقب الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية الأولى)، وهي قيم أرست تجربة فريدة في التحديث الذي يعترف بالتنوع الاجماعي الشرقي.
خليل رامز سركيس يلامس في هذا الكتاب التجربة اللبنانية، ويشهد لما لها وما عليها من خلال سيرته البيروتية، كأديب ومفكر وعضو في العائلة السركيسية، إذ أنشأ جده خليل سركيس جريدة لسان الحال عام 1877 وتابع والده رامز سركيس (النائب والوزير ونقيب الصحافة) إصدارها، ثم تولاها هو، ليتخلى لاحقاً عن ملكيتها وينصرف إلى التأليف وإلى دوره الحيوي في الندوة اللبنانية، كأنه بذلك يفصل بين الصحافة كمهنة والكتابة الأدبية كعمل يشبه النذر.
جمع خليل رامز سركيس، بتميز، بين الأسلوبية والتأمل الفكري، فاعتمد لغة عربية متينة السبك مختارة العبارة، وكانت صياغاته للمعاني تقتصد في الكلام بحيث يبدو مشعاً بضيء القارئ، وهو كلام قليل يوحي بكلام كثير، وبمعان مستفيضة يمكن للقارئ أن يقولها بنفسه.
اعتنى بالإنسان موضوعاً، بما يشد الإنسان إلى دونية وما يسمو به إلى نقاء الروح وعلاها. وهو، في مؤلفاته، يكتب الفكر بحساسية الأديب الفنان لا بـ"إحصائية" الباحث الموثق، وإن كان دقيقأً في حسه لا يشطح ولا يضيع قارئه، وإنما يرافقه في أخوة الروح إلى صلب المسائل التي يعالج إذ يتأمل.
