هي كلمات في سعيد عقل يخطها جان سالمه، وهي كلمات للتاريخ أيضاً عن شاعر لبنان الخالد، حتى بعد رحيله، هو الذي أضاء نجمه سماء لبنان طوال جيل كامل، وتغنى بالأمجاد والمكرمات، ليس بحاجة إلى من يعرّف به ... فاسمه على كل شفة ولسان، وصدى اشعاره ما يزال في الآذان.
في الكتاب يسأل جان سالمه نفسه: أليست الكتابة عن سعيد عقل مغامرة؟ وكيف تقاربه شاعراً أو فيلسوفاً أو لاهوتياً وحالماً؟ ومع ذلك تجده يخوض تلك المغامرة في كتابه "كلمات في سعيد عقل" . هنا نقرأ أيضاً شهادات ثلة من المثقفين اللبنانيين في شاعرنا، هي شهادات لأدباء ورجال سياسة رافقوا سعيد عقل في مسيرته، أولهم السفير فؤاد الترك الذي قدم له بمقدمة تليق بالشاعر؛ ومما جاء فيها: " ... هذا الكتاب سفرٌ مرجع في الكتابة عن سعيد عقل، إن فيه الحب الوفير وفيه، إلى الإعجاب والإعتزاز، الإحترام الكبير. جان سالمه، سَلِمَ قلمُك في ما كتبت عن هذا الذي رفض التكريم والأوسمة وشهادات الدكتوراه الفخرية وهو القائل: "تكرمه الدول الشعر؟ دعك. ليبقى غداً وتدول الدّول" مع كتابك، سيتعرّف كثيرون إلى سعيد عقل أكثر، وسيحبونه أكثر. وهذا الحب، أقصى ما يحلم به دوماً سعيد عقل".
يضم الكتاب مقالات، وأمسيات شعرية، ومشاهد من حياة سعيد عقل الشاعر نذكر من عناوينها: "إلى مي منصور" ، "كل شيء كان حلماً" ، "صاحب الأحلام الكبيرة" ، "كلمة لا بد منها" ، "سرّ عجبٌ" ، "سوق عكاظ" ، "عندما فزت بجائزة سعيد عقل" (...) وعناوين أخرى.
