"حرباً أهلية"، هذه الكارثة، ما كانت للحظة من الزمن، حرباً خالصة بين اللبنانيين أنفسهم، لا على خطوط طائفية مذهبية، ولا على غير ذلك، مما قد يختلف بشأنه ناس لبنان.
فالتقدير كله ... والتحيات كلها ... للأديب جان سالمه، لمبدع ... هاتين القصتين، بما روتا، بصدق وأمانة، من أحداث وحقائق من الصعب أن تنسى.
