في مجموعته القصصية "قصة غرامين" يرصد جان سالمه مواقف حياتية ولحظات هاربة من حياته كطبيب وأديب في آن معاً، يقف على حافة الذاكرة، ويستدرج السرد إلى قصة حبّ عاشها، وسواء أكانت القصة حقيقة أم خيال، فهي بلا شك قصة جديرة بأن تٌقرأ يروي فيها الكاتب قصة حب ماتت قبل أن تولد عن (ليلاه) بطلته الإستثنائية، وقد عادت إلى الذاكرة من جديد، لتعيش على صفحات الكتاب يكتبها جان سالمه بلغة سردية حية، يمارس فيها خبرته بتحكم واضح بأدواتها، يردم فجوات الزمن، ويجمع خيوط الحكاية المتناثرة في الوحدات المختلفة، ومن خلال شخصيات مكملة للحدث كالطبيب (بيار) وزوجته وأولاده، ما يوفر لنصه السلاسة والإنسياب، وقد تجنب أساليب البلاغة والإنشاء، ما يجعل النص قريباً ومباشراً وهكذا، لا تعود "قصة غرامين" خارج الزمن الروائي بل تغدو داخله بامتياز.
