في هذا الكتاب محاولة للتعرّف على البيانات والمعطيات التي تمثل أوصافاً غير صحيحة (أو كاذبة) وبيان أنواعها ودراسة طبيعتها القانونية والجزاء المترتب على الإخلال بها من خلال مقارنتها بالنظم القانونية الأخرى ومنها الشريعة الإسلامية وبعض القوانين المقارنة.
وبناءً على ما تقدم، تمتد هذه الدراسة لتشمل عيباً من عيوب الرضاء في القانون الإنجليزي وهو "الوصف غير الحقيقي" كمحور أساسي ومن ثم مقارنته بالنظام القانوني السائد في الفقه الإسلامي والقانون المدني العراقي، وذلك من خلال تسليط الضوء على الطبيعة القانونية للوصف أو التصوير غير الحقيقي، والجزاء المترتب على ذلك ... وأخيراً خاتمة وخلاصات.
