تتكشف قصائد الشاعر عبد الله حبيب في ديوانه (ليلميّات)، عن معاناة وجود، فالقارىء للديوان يتأمل حركة الذات تأملاً فلسفياً، عبر أبعاد مختلفة. البعد الأول (الذات الإنسانية) وعبر البعد الثاني (القلق والإغتراب) وعبر البعد الثالث (المطلق) وما يتضمنه عن حركة كونية ومصيرية، وعوالم مجهولة، وميتافيزيقية محيرة. فالشاعر بدا وكأنه يحاور نفسه، ويغترب عنها، ويبحث عن الحقيقة، كل هذه الأصوات تتداخل ضمن الشاعر، ويبدأ يبحث عن نفسه عبر هويته المفقودة وحيداً؛ يقول الشاعر: "وحدي / كقنبلة / من مخلفات حروب الآلهة / وحدي / ولا شيء مطلقاً / وكل لا شيء يشي بهذه الكلمات / وهذه الكلمات تتلاشى في انفجاري / بوحدي".
يقسمس الديوان إلى قسمين: القسم الأول وعنوانه "ليلميات" ويضم قصائد كتبها الشاعر في فترات زمنية مختلفة (تسعينيات القرن العشرين)، والقسم الثاني وعنوانه "ما تبقى من نصوص أخرى. ويتضمن نصوصاً نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "أدوارد" ، "طرْق" ، "قوس قزح" ، "سؤال" ، "في صبيحة العيد"، La Primavera” “ وتعني الربيع بالإسبانية وهو نص وجهه الشاعر – إلى لطيفة حبيب وعنوانه: "لو تعلمين كم أنت هنا، لو أعلم كم أنت هناك".
