في جديده الشعري "فاطمة" يبدو عبد الله حبيب متحداً مع الوجع والفقد والغياب في علاقة خاصة، منطلقاً من الذات وإلى الذات، معبراً عن فكرة الغربة الحقيقة، المتخيلة، لينسج نصه على منوال "الأنت" المخاطب ليصعَد من وتيرة الألك الحسي، حيث يلقي بظلال الخطاب على المتلقي ليصبح هو المتشكل بالوجع طيهفو الجسد للحسد/ مثلما يلهو فقد بفقد/ قنينة كاملة تقريباً/ من الأرق/ لأجل مقطعٍ واحد/ البحر/ حبر التعميدات/ الأمنيات/ لم تقل/ إلا نصف مرَة/ البحر/ تضاعف مرتين/ والليل/ لا يزال يتثائب/ في ظلك/ الأبدية طويلة/ وشعر رأسك قصير(...)". وبهذا المعنى فإن نص (فاطمة) يمكن اعتباره تجربة حياتية، ووجودية، وفقدية اجتاحت الشاعر، وقد كتبت بحساسية عاطفية/ شخصية لافتة تقترب من حدود الفلسفة استخدم فيها الشاعر لغة رشيقة/ سردية، سلسة، وخاصة في وصف المرأة الحبيبة "أحببتها مرَة/ أحبتني مرتين/ أحببتها ثلاثاً/ أحبتني أربعاً... ثم تثكلت الأرقام...".
يتكون نص (فاطمة) من مائة وتسعة وسبعين مقطعاً تتراوح بين الطول والقصر بحيث يبلغ بعضها كلمو واحدة أو كلمتين فقط، وتراوح بين التكثيف والإختزال والبساطة.
